Music fest set for Tunkhannock – Times Leader

A new music festival will soon take its place among summer’s local events. This year, from Aug. 30-Sept. 1, at Lazy Brook Park in Tunkhannock, the Cornstock Acoustic Music Fest marks its first annual jamboree, providing three days of concert performances, workshops in music, campfire jamming, and campground relaxation.

Some of the bands that will be performing at the festival are The Central Valley Boys from California, Nashville star and XM/Sirius Satellite Radio host & musician Chris Jones and the Night Drivers, the award-winning East Side Dave & The Mountain Folk Band, regional band Big Valley, and many others.

The 67th semi-annual Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival begins August 15, with four days of musical performances, workshops and jam sessions to enjoy.

A list of artists and their performance schedule can be found on the event’s website; performances will be held beginning at 2 p.m. on August 15, 11 a.m. August 16 and 17 and 10 a.m. August 18 on two separate stages. Bands scheduled to perform include Mountain Heart, The Seldom Scene and The Spinney Brothers.
